The Beeline Kazakhstan project was recognized as the best social project 2022 by AmCham version

May 29, 2023, Astana. Project “Developing the Capacity of Key Schools in Rural Areas” won in the category “Best Project for Community Development” at the annual award of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Kazakhstan. The award ceremony took place on May 27.

The AmCham Awards are traditionally held to highlight the important achievements of American Chamber of Commerce member companies. Beeline Kazakhstan received this recognition for “the best corporate contribution of an AmCham member company to the improvement of society.”

“Providing rural children with equal opportunities for development and quality education is the goal of our project. It has been implemented and is now successfully developing further, primarily thanks to our great partners: “Qazakhstan Halkyna” Foundation, Fund of Sustainable Development of Education, AITAS Holding, Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools. Winning the award is a symbol of recognition of such social activities by the business community. To be in the list of winners according to AmCham is a great honor for every organization, and we are glad to stand on a par with the respected winners of past years,” shared Evgeniy Nastradin, CEO of Beeline Kazakhstan.

“In 2019, in order to reduce the gap in education between urban and rural areas and along with our other initiatives, together with NIS, we launched a special project in five rural schools. We managed to implement it effectively, which led to the scaling of the project within the framework of another large program - “Development of the potential of core schools in rural areas.” We are glad that our initiative has become a sustainable project at the republican level and has involved a number of participants, including the Qazakhstan Halkyna Foundation and Beeline,” says Serik Tolukpayev, founder of the AITAS holding.

To implement the project, Beeline allocated 2 billion tenge, which was used to renovate 8 rural schools in different regions of the country. New desks, vandal-proof chairs, interactive whiteboards, computers appeared in the classrooms of these schools; STEM classrooms, art and television studios, development areas, workshops, new gyms, canteens, and libraries were updated. Teachers undergo training from NIS teachers, improve their school programs and transfer knowledge to colleagues from other villages.
